The GMS IT Group has set up a Project Board to oversee the implementation of the new GP IT system in Lothian. The role and remit of the Board can be obtained from Ashley Galloway, PA PCCO. The Board and GP Sub Committee co-hosted a practice engagement event in October 2019 and held a webinar for practices that were not able to attend. Most recently the Board has carried out a survey of practice opinion on the issue of cohort formation. The Board will soon establish an advisory and engagement group comprised largely of practice representatives to guide the Board in making decisions about issues such as cohort formation and specification for mini competitions. The national timetable for implementation has slipped by at least 6 months which means Lothian implementation will be in late 2020 at the earliest.
