Tyne Medical Practice (Practice Nurse Vacancy)
16 hours per week

Tyne Medical Practice is situated in the market town of Haddington, located just 18 miles from Edinburgh. We are a 3 Partner training practice and have a comprehensive clinical team comprising of GPs, Practice Nurse, Treatment Room Nurse, and Phlebotomist. The practice area covers approximately a 6-mile radius of Haddington with a list size of 7000 and rising.
Due to retirement, we are looking to recruit an experienced Practice Nurse for 16 hours per week. Days of work will be Monday and Tuesday although there may be some flexibility on working days.

The desired candidate will be an experienced Practice Nurse as the role requires an element of independence. Previous experience of delivering a high standard of care for patients with long term chronic conditions and cervical screening is essential for this role.

A knowledge of sexual health, family planning and HRT would be desirable, however, the practice would support training towards this if required.
A qualified prescriber who can deal with minor ailments in addition would be advantageous but is not essential.

All candidates must have valid NMC registration, excellent organisation, and communication skills along with a proficient level of IT skills.
